These virtual escape rooms have been so popular I thought I would share them with the wider teaching community!
Why virtual escape rooms?
They are an engaging way of showcasing the relevance of science in the real world. I have used them to show my A level students what it is like to work in a university chemistry lab but also to inspire my Key Stage 3 students about the possibility of working in Antarctica.

These can be a powerful tool of increasing students’ science capital which has been shown to be important in the take up of science subjects beyond GCSE.
Going forward
It is my aim to continue to create virtual escape rooms and post them on this site as a resource for teachers, parents and students to use as they see fit. If there is a topic or set of questions you would like to see turned into an escape room please do contact me!
